Attendant – West

It’s for sure one of the most Europe’s special coffee shop: it was a 19th century Victorian men’s toilet which was closed in the 1960s. The urinals have been converted into a unique long table, coffee shop and food bar. Why not? It is a new experience you won’t find anywhere else! The staff is very friendly, clean and quirky and there is always a bit of art in each coffee they serve. Also, it’s known for the amazing tea they prepare –the best in London someone says!- and its fantastic music. Come on guys, this place is too cool for school!

14 Bacon st – East

Also known as The vintage emporium, has been the heart of the artistic life in Brick Lane for more than 6 years. And we can tell, you have never seen anything like this place before! The cosy atmosphere, the 20’s decoration made with old suitcases, mannequins, dry flowers and the light of the candles will make you feel like home. The weekly activities and events like life drawing, poetry or open mike are the perfect excuse to meet new people, including the lovely lady who runs the show! You need more? Best carrot cake in the city is served in there and you will find a secret 20’s vintage shop downstairs if you are lucky 🙂

Yumchaa – Central

Sometimes coffee is not the first option we have in our mind so if what you need is a yummy tea, this is where you want to go. They offer a selection of more than 50 different red and black teas as well as infusions served with delicious cakes and cookies. The best one? Berry Berry Nice if you prefer the reds or Sweet Caramel if you are for the blacks, you will love it! You can also buy any of them together with the teapot – which I am sure will fit perfectly in your kitchen!-. Also, it is a good place to set up meetings or to sit down with your laptop and work on your projects. Empty walls, quiet sitting area and comfortable sofas are the perfect touch for this central coffee shop.

The waiting room – South the waiting room

The waiting room is for sure a magic place!

The shop is very small and everything in it is probably the opposite of what you expected to find behind his quite anonymous entrance in Deptford High Street: the wood furniture, the checkered napkins, the glass jars for the brown sugar or the different kinds of tea they offer and, most of all, the super original look of the staff! But these are just some of the surprises that await you. In few words: everything is amazing! Nevertheless, the atmosphere is super friendly. Their cappuccino is very good and if you order an espresso you will have a biscuit with it too. For the lovers of sweets: we recommend you a slice of their chocolate cake and apricot!! What else? Oh, they have vegan & vegetarian cuisine 🙂

If you want no one to disturb you while you work on your next project, they can offer you the peace and love you are looking for!
